My body of work consists of unique pieces to reflect my ideas and connect with others. My main mediums include various clothing types ranging from denim, cotton, leather, etc, and many different sized canvases. I have been influenced by several different artists such as Jean Michel Basquiat, Titus Kaphar, and Genesis Tremaine. I have also been influenced by clothing brands including Chrome Hearts, and A Bathing Ape.Being from Chicago, city art such as graffiti and local murals also had a hand in cultivating my personal style. The reason I am so influenced and drawn to these artists, brands, and factors, is because of how expressive it all is. I love the voice of the art and how it speaks even when no one is listening. In most of my works there is a piece of different inspiration from different things and places. Most notably, in “It’s All There”, “Spring Cleaning”, and “Developing Mind” there is heavy influence from Basquiat, A Bathing Ape, and city graffiti. I hope to continue to gain inspiration from different people, places, and art so that I can continue to further my evolution as an artist.
